Several years ago, while vacationing with my family, I struck up a conversation with a foreigner (a gentleman from outside the state of Alabama).


Our conversation drifted to college football and the gentleman said, "Oh, you are from Alabama - you must be one of those roll tide fans."  naturally, this hit a nerve with me as I responded,
"No, I am an Auburn Fan."


The gentleman appeared to be quite confused by this statement - as he said he thought Auburn was in Georgia.  My response to his mistake is how the idea was first formed.  I graciously told him, "No, Auburn is in Alabama - I guess you could say I am an Orange and Blue Dot in a crimson state."


And so the idea for this took root in my head.  Fast forward a few years later, and upon retelling this story to several family members and friends and meeting with great enthusiasm over the idea, I decided to go for it and have shirts and bumper stickers created.


With the orginal idea sketched and
the artful creation of Nicole Crilley's design work,
the t-shirts were born.
